Business Terms — Organizations and Teams
Last updated: 2026-07-19
These Business Terms apply to organizations, teams, and managed workspaces on Nesktop. They supplement the Terms of Service and are binding on the organization owner, administrators, and members who use organization features.
1. Organizations, roles, and invites
Organizations let teams share layouts, settings, and manage workspaces collaboratively.
- Owner: Full control over membership, roles, billing, and organization settings.
- Administrator: May publish, assign, and update layouts as granted by the owner. May manage members unless restricted.
- Member: Follows organization policies when using managed layouts and shared features.
Organization owners invite members by email or account identifier. Membership is at the owner's discretion. Invitations may be revoked before acceptance. Owners are responsible for their organization's membership list.
2. Managed layouts and public organization pages
Organizations may publish managed layouts that are pushed to member workspaces. Members may not be able to modify managed layouts depending on organization settings. Public organization pages are visible without authentication and must contain only material the organization is authorized to publish.
3. Customer responsibility
The organization owner and administrators are responsible for:
- Ensuring that all members comply with the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines, and these Business Terms.
- Obtaining any necessary consents from members before setting organization-wide policies or accessing member data through organization features.
- Maintaining accurate membership records and promptly removing members who should no longer have access.
4. Confidential information
Organizations may designate certain layouts, settings, or data as confidential. Members must treat designated confidential information with reasonable care and not disclose it to unauthorized parties. These confidentiality obligations survive termination of membership or the organization.
5. Acceptable use
Use of organization features is subject to the Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines. Owners and administrators must ensure that managed content, layouts, and public pages comply with those guidelines.
6. Support and service level
Nesktop provides support for organizations on a reasonable-effort basis through the standard support channels. No service-level agreement (SLA) is provided unless expressly agreed in a separate written agreement signed by Nesktop. Beta or preview features available to organizations are provided "as is" with no uptime guarantee.
7. Billing and paid features
Checkout is not yet live. Subscription purchasing and organization-level billing are not currently available. When paid features become available, pricing and terms will be shown before purchase.
8. Data, privacy, and DPA
Nesktop processes personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Where the organization is a controller and Nesktop acts as a processor, the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) applies when incorporated into an agreed business contract between the organization and Nesktop. Contact nesktopinfo@gmail.com to request DPA execution.
9. Termination
The organization owner may delete the organization at any time through organization settings. Upon deletion, organization content (including managed layouts and public pages) may be permanently removed. Individual members retain their personal data and workspaces unless they also delete their personal accounts.
Nesktop may suspend or terminate an organization that violates these Business Terms or the Terms of Service. We will attempt to notify the owner where practicable.
10. Export of data
Before deleting an organization, owners may request export of organization data by contacting nesktopinfo@gmail.com. We will provide a reasonable opportunity for data export subject to technical feasibility.
